On September 27, 2015 at approximately 2:30pm, a DeSoto teenager was killed and two others injured after a tire blow out flipped their vehicle over. The car was determined to have rolled several times before coming to a stop on I-20 near Van. The Department of Public Safety reports that 18-year old Chandlor Allen of DeSoto was pronounced dead after being transferred to Trinity Mother Frances the night of the accident. The driver, Kennan Clark II and fellow passenger Anferne Allen were injured; Allen is still in serious condition.
