Two motorcycle riders in Denton County were tragically killed on June 11, 2017 when they collided with a truck driven by a man suspected of drunk driving. The accident occurred on Highway 377 near the town of Aubrey when the truck driver suddenly swerved to make a U-turn. The man operating the motorcycle tried slamming on his brakes but it was too late. He and his passenger – who was also his fiancee – both died at the scene.
The Dangers Motorcycle Riders Face
Motorcycle accidents commonly take place due to automobile or truck drivers who fail to see a bike before it either changes lanes or tries to merge onto a freeway. Road hazards and manufacturer defects are just two of the more typical reasons why these often-tragic accidents occur.
If you love to ride, you also know that, unfortunately, it can be extremely dangerous to be on a motorcycle. You might have decades of experience and be incredibly safe, but you still have little control over your surroundings. Our firm has a great deal of experience representing motorcycle riders who have been severely injured due to the negligence of others on the road. These kinds of accidents can result in permanent, debilitating injuries or deaths. If you or a loved one is ever involved in a motorcycle accident, it will be imperative that you contact an attorney who will make sure your rights are protected.
