In Garland, a woman was killed as she tried to cross the lanes of I-30 at 10:30 pm. Sadly, she was hit by a blue Volkswagen that was traveling eastbound on the freeway. The vehicle could not stop in time and hit 54-year-old Kathy Bridges. She died at the scene, and the three people inside the blue Volkswagen were treated for minor injuries.
