Summer Motorcycle Safety Tips

According to Tarrant County Medical Examiners, the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident on the 20th of October was Tyler Justice, a 33-year-old Highland Village resident. The official cause of death was blunt force trauma to both the head and chest. His injuries were sustained during the accident, in which Justice collided with another vehicle. Both police and firefighters responded to the crash at the intersection of Garden Ridge Boulevard and FM 407. According to the police report, a white Chrysler 300 collided with the motorcycle.

The Accident

Investigators at the scene were talking to witnesses. Early indications point to the Chrysler taking a left turn into the southbound lane on Garden Ridge, from the westbound FM 407. Police do not believe alcohol played a part in the crash, and the victim was wearing a helmet.

Police officers on the scene set up detours at the intersection, which were in place for a few hours after the accident itself. Lastly, police were unable to determine whether Justice drove his motorcycle through a green light or red light. Their investigation turned up zero evidence of negligence or criminal activity.
