Early Wednesday morning, a motorist was tragically killed after her vehicle slammed into a tree near Denton street. The young woman was driving when she, assumedly, lost control of the car. Her car veered off the road, slamming into the tree in the front yard of a resident. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:07 a.m.
The Incident
Investigators determined the young woman was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition southbound when she lost control of the car. The vehicle left the roadway, skidded and struck the tree with the driver’s side door. There were no other occupants of the vehicle.
Unfortunately, police have yet to determine the cause of the accident. They are unclear as to why the vehicle lost control. Conditions in the area appeared clear, so the weather has been ruled out.
