Dallas-based Personal Injury Attorney Accused of Fighting Valet Service

Personal Injury

In the world of personal injury, an experienced attorney is worth their weight in gold. If you’ve been injured in an accident, you’re most likely feeling confused, stressed out, and hurt. You may not know where to turn. It is unfortunate when such a highly-regarded attorney loses their way. Such was the case earlier this month when a Dallas-based lawyer specializing in personal injury and drunk driving cases was caught on camera attacking a valet service. The attorney in question had been drinking copious amounts throughout the night.

The Incident

The altercation occurred earlier this month in the 400 block of N. Bishop Avenue. Dallas police claim Amy Witherite and her wife, Barbara, attacked valet drivers and random passerby because they could not find their vehicle. The two women had been drinking heavily throughout the night.

Unfortunately for both, someone with a cell phone was recording the entire ordeal. The attorney and her wife appeared to grow more violent by the second, attacking anyone who got too close.

One of the valet attendants that was attacked is back to work. He was rattled by the altercation, but physically fine.

Amy was charged with three counts of assault and public intoxication. Barbara, on the other hand, was charged with four counts of assault, public intoxication, and interference with emergency assistance. They are both currently released on bond.

Personal Injury

When you’ve been injured, you need to find someone you can trust. This news story was an isolated incident. Personal injury attorneys do not condone such actions, nor do they make a habit of drinking so heavily.

If you were injured in an altercation, you deserve justice. You deserve compensation for your injuries. Furthermore, you deserve someone willing to fight on your behalf – both for justice and damages.
